Join MCLGA

MCLGA is a large and friendly county with over 500 women and girls of all ages and skill levels. Through our events our members get the opportunity to meet and socialise with golfers from other clubs and play the wonderful courses across our County in fun and/or competitive events. We hold:

  • Inter club leagues where clubs play against each other in our scratch or handicap (greensomes) league matches. These are very popular with our members and are generally followed by food and refreshments afterwards!
  • Winter and Summer singles and pairs handicap knockouts.
  • Spring, Summer, and Autumn Meetings (18 hole strokeplay competitions with handicap and scratch prizes).
  • A fun fundraising Tri-Am to cover the expenses for our volunteer caddies that support our Squad events.
  • A qualifier for the Scottish Golf Commonwealth Spoons competition.
  • Our County Championship (handicap and scratch prizes).

The dates for our events can be found on our Competition Dates page.

In addition, we have a County Squad for our more elite and promising players, and we run coaching and events for our junior girls.

Many of our members volunteer to caddy for the Squad (a fantastic way to be involved in elite events), support the junior coaching, and help with the running of the County via our Committee or being a League Rep.
