At Midlothian County Ladies Golf Association (MCLGA), we want everyone to feel safe, happy and welcome when playing golf.
To help with this, we follow special rules and guidance from Scottish Golf. These help us make sure golf is fun and safe for everyone.
We have some important documents that help us achieve this:
- Safeguarding Policy – this tells us how to keep everyone safe.
- Code of Conduct for Junior Members – this is a list of good behaviours we expect from young players.
- Code of Conduct for Coaches and Volunteers – this explains how adults should act when helping juniors.
- Code of Conduct for Parents and Carers – this helps adults support their children taking part in MCLGA golf.
- Responding to Concerns Procedure – to help us manage concerns appropriately.
- Consent Recording Form – part of our annual membership process for juniors to help us engage with you as you would like and support your safe participation in golf.
Review
We check these documents every year with help from Scottish Golf, so we know they are up to date and working well.
If you ever feel worried or unsafe, or if you see something you don't think is right, you can talk to our Safeguarding Officer. Her name is Margaret (Maggie) McPherson and you can email her at childprotectionofficer@mclga.com.
