The process to pay invoices issued by MCLGA is the same for juniors as for adults. However, to pay your invoice on MCLGA.com, you must (a) know your 'membership' number (Scottish Golf ID), and (b) have registered with Scottish Golf. As many of our juniors and their parents/carers may not have done this previously for the junior, full instructions are provided below for ease.
1. Obtain the Junior's Membership Number (Scottish Golf ID (SGID))
- The SGID number is printed on the invoice. It is a 10 digit number starting with a '4' at the bottom right of the invoice, next to the member's name (e.g. Nicky Graham 4002123456).
- Alternatively, you can find the membership number (SGID) through Scottish Golf's 'Forgotten membership' page: https://www.scottishgolf.org/forgot-membership-number if you know the email address associated with the junior's record. This may be the email address originally used to register with Scottish Golf or the contact email address that was provided on the application form completed for the junior.
- Lastly, if you are struggling to obtain the membership number, please email the Secretary who can provide it.
2. Register with Scottish Golf:
3. Making Payment on MCLGA.com
- Log in to MCLGA.com using the Scottish Golf Membership number (SGID) and password. If the password is not known, click 'Forgot your password?' to reset it - the link goes to the email address registered with Scottish Golf.
- Once logged in, choose MY ACCOUNT from the MEMBERS menu to see the 'My outstanding invoices' section which shows the payment due. The amount cannot be changed as it is fixed by the membership category. If you think there is an error in the amount being asked for, please email the Secretary before payment.
- Below the 'My outstanding invoices' section you will see the 'Secure Online Payment' section where you must select the 'Payment Method' and tick the Terms and Conditions before you can click 'Proceed to pay'.
- On the payment screen you pay by ApplePay or by entering your card details. You may be asked to authorise the payment by your bank before the transaction can complete.
IMPORTANT! You should be shown a message that confirms payment has been successful and you should receive confirmation by email. If you do not see the message or receive confirmation by email, please contact the Secretary.
