Commonly Asked Questions

Q: I know I'm registered with Scottish Golf but I'm having problems logging in to MCLGA.com - what am I doing wrong?

A: If you know you have previously logged in to MCLGA.com or the Scottish Golf website or app, then we can assume that you are registered and should be able to log in. Let's troubleshoot!

  1. Have you entered your 'Membership number' correctly? This is your SGID number (formerly called CDH number) which is your unique identifier with Scottish Golf. It's a 10 digit number starting with '4' (viewable on My Scottish Golf app).
  2. If you are sure your SGID number has been entered correctly then there may be an issue with the password entered. Upon login failure, below the Login button, you will see a link for 'Forgot your password' - click this to reset your password.

Q: I've never registered with Scottish Golf and don't know my membership number to log in to MCLGA.com.

A: Don't worry! The process to register with Scottish Golf is simple to do, and once you know your membership/SGID number and have set your password then you use the same details to login to MCLGA.com. Here are the steps to register:

1. Obtain your membership number:

  • Obtain your membership number (SGID) from your MCLGA invoice. It is a 10 digit number starting with a '4' at the bottom right of your invoice next to your name (e.g. Nicky Graham 4002123456).
  • Alternatively, you can find the membership number (SGID) through Scottish Golf's 'Forgotten membership' page: https://www.scottishgolf.org/forgot-membership-number if you know the email address associated with your record.
  • Lastly, if you are struggling to obtain your membership number, please email the Secretary who can provide it.

2. Register with Scottish Golf:

Please email the Secretary for support if you are still unable to get logged in.

Q: How do I advise you of a change to my details? (e.g. phone number, email address, home address)?

A: Our platform is self-serve. Once you've logged in to MCLGA.com using your Scottish Golf user ID (CDH/SGID number) and password, you simply navigate to MEMBERS then EDIT PROFILE to update your details.

Q: I'm not sure who to contact about...

A:  Check out our Contact Us page.

Q: I've been drawn against a member in the knockouts - how do I contact them?

A: Once you've logged in to MCLGA.com using your Scottish Golf user ID (CDH/SGID number) and password, you simply navigate to MEMBERS then MEMBER DETAILS to locate the member.

If the member has elected to not show their details on the member listing, please email secretary@mclga.com who will provide the details to you.

Q: How do I see who else is a member from my club?

A: Scottish Golf has not yet built functionality on the platform for this but we have a workaround of sorts. Once you've logged in to MCLGA.com using your Scottish Golf user ID (CDH/SGID number) and password, you simply navigate to MEMBERS then ALL MEMBERS BY CLUB to filter by club. The data is obtained manually so only refreshed every now and again - the page shows when the data was last refreshed.
