Princes Golf Course launch at Braid Hills 5/6 AprilMany golfers in Edinburgh have played at the Braids Hills, the municipal golf courses run by "the Corporation" and host to well-known tournaments including the Dispatch Trophy and the Gibson Cup. Braids No 1 is an excellent test of golf, a tricky course with some beautiful views over the city and Firth of Forth. BraidsNo 2 was always more of an adventure! Colin Melville, the Golf Development Manager for Edinburgh Leisure says that the "The new course is part of the changes to the set up at Braid Hills which has allowed longer opening of Braids 1 and has reduced Braids 2 from an 18 hole course to a 9 hole course. The aim of the new Princes course is to provide a course which is suitable for children, families, beginners and the more mature golfer."
