A MESSAGE FROM THE CAPTAIN
December 2006
Dear Girls
I have enjoyed watching the junior golf this year and am delighted with your progress at all levels.
Special congratulations to the runner-up in British Girls Championship, Sally Watson; runner up in Scottish Girls Championship, Rachael Livingstone; East of Scotland and Midlothian Champion and second placed in SLGA girls' ranking, Jane Turner.
Well done to the winning Cuthbertson Cup Team, Rachael Livingstone, Jane Turner, Rachael Archibald and Cara Easton.
Congratulations to Rachael Livingstone who broke 3 course records during 2006.
Well done to all the prize winners, to those who reduced their handicaps and to those who attained a handicap for the first time.
Many of you have been taking part in the coaching at the Braids and some of you have started to play on the 9 hole Princes Course.
This year we introduced a Junior Squad who had some extra coaching at Dalmahoy. Well done to all those who have played, gone to the coaching and worked hard this year.
We are looking forward to defending the Cuthbertson Cup at Glenbervie Golf Club (near Larbert) on Sunday 15th April 2007. Please come along and support your team.
I'm sure you are all looking forward to making new golfing friends next year. Welcome to the girls who have just joined Midlothian.
I hope you enjoy your Christmas holidays. I am looking forward to seeing you all in 2007 at some of the many events which involve junior girls of Midlothian.
Best wishes for a successful golfing season 2007.
Ellice Cacket, Captain MCLGA

Congratulations to four of the girls who managed to achieve single figure handicaps within the year. A number of new girls have been introduced to the squad and in the coming winter months further coaching has been organised which we hope will prepare the girls for another excellent season of golf next year.
