A MESSAGE FROM THE CAPTAIN
December 2005

Dear Girls

I am delighted with the progress, which you have all made in 2005. Well done everyone!

Special congratulations to Scottish Girls' Champion, Sally Watson; Scottish Under 14 Champion, Cara Easton; East of Scotland Champion, Jane Turner and Midlothian Junior Champion, Amanda Edwards. Congratulations also to Rebecca Watson who finished third in this year's SLGA girls' ranking.

Well done to all our prize winners, to those who have reduced their handicaps and to those who have attained a handicap for the first time this year.

Many of you have been taking part in the coaching sessions at the Braids. I hope that some of you who have been working hard at these sessions will soon be playing in the 9-holes held at the Princes Course on the third Sunday of each month. Well done to the girls who played there this year. I enjoyed seeing you all at the Adult/Girls foursomes - it was a great day.

We are looking forward to hosting the Cuthbertson Cup at Broomieknowe Golf Club on Sunday 16 April 2006. Please come along to support the Midlothian girls' team if you can.

I'm sure you will all make new golfing friends next year and we welcome new girls who have just joined Midlothian. I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all in 2006 at the many events, which will involve the junior members of Midlothian County.

Best wishes for a successful golfing season in 2006.
Margaret McPherson, Captain MCLGA
