MIDLOTHIAN COUNTY LADIES' GOLF ASSOCIATION

The Midlothian County Ladies' Golf Association Championship Qualifying Competition for the first time was run as a separate competition over 36 holes played at Duddingston Golf Course in blustery conditions. Claire Hargan (Prestonfield) headed the qualifiers with 155 (78 77). Fiona de Vries (St Rule) was second with 159 (80 79). Rita Dee (Kingsknowe) took third place with 80, 83 for 163, and Karen Marshall (Baberton) and Hilary Laughland (Prestonfield) were joint fourth on 166.

The knock-out match play will also be held at Duddingston on Friday May 2nd, with the semi-finals and final on Sunday May 4th.
